SuperBowl XLIV 3 inch 50 Yard line Game Used Sod with case Super Bowl XLIV will be played on February 7, 2010, before hundreds of millions of viewers around the world and more than 75,000 live fans at Sun Life Stadium inMiami. For the first time ever, the logo painted on the 50 yard line will be preserved and made available to fans of both teams and collectors. The game features the AFC Champion Indianapolis Colts against the NFC Champion New Orleans Saints. Both teams have a rich football tradition and this unique collectible will commemorate what is sure to be another great Super Bowl. This is also the first Super Bowl played on game worn sod from the Pro Bowl played at Sun Life Stadium on January 31, 2010. At the conclusion of the game, sections of the field will be removed and portioned into 3 x 3 squares, freeze-dried for permanent preservation, and encased in a handsome UV glass display case. The case includes a photograph from the game showing the field, a description of the event, and all relevant statistics. Among the sections of sod being made available to fans is this piece from the painted Super Bowl XLIV logo at the 50-yard line. The fully assembled display case is 4 ¾ x 4 ¾ x 5 ¼.
